The Big Stomp – A Charity Walk Raising Money For The Motor Neurone Disease Association 

George Street Tap and many of the other Craft Union pubs in the area are gearing themselves up for The Big Stomp, a charity walk that takes place on September 5th which will see The Stonegate Group employees and managers take part in a giant pub crawl in full fancy dress.  All of the stops along the way are Stonegate venues and it is estimated the journey will take five hours. 

Starting at the newly acquired Rose and Crown in Worthing, the group will end up at The Railway Bell in Hove. All proceeds will go to The Motor Neurone Disease Association to help Louise Willets who suffers with the condition. You can donate through the Just Giving page.

Itinerary:

11:00 Start at The Rose and Crown Worthing at for bacon rolls to start the day!

11:30 leave The Rose and Crown to walk to The Railway in Lancing  – 3 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes.

12:45 arrive at The Railway Lancing.

13:00 Leave and walk to George Street Tap 7.3 miles 3 hours (including a half hour stop for a picnic on the beach, weather dependent!)

16:00 Arrive at George Street Tap for photos.

16:15 Leave GST to go to The Railway Bell – 1.8 miles – 45 minutes.

17:00 Arrive at The Railway Bell for refreshments.

George Street Tap is a vibrant live music and sports bar situated at the bottom of George Street, Hove’s famous street of shops. The pub has been under new management for the past few months and has gone from strength to strength. Regularly hosting fun Drag shows, DJ events and live music, the pub is fast becoming the go-to for Hoveites looking for something a bit different. You can order Pizza from Franco Manca Hove to be delivered piping hot to your table.
