Jules Emporium – New Road, Brighton

29 Apr, 2025

A big happy birthday to Jules Emporium, which marked its second anniversary last month with a lively celebration of free-flowing drinks, live art, and plenty of community spirit. In just two years, this unique boutique has firmly established itself as a vibrant hub of creativity and charm that showcases local artists.

Nestled on Brighton’s bustling New Road, the Emporium is a treasure trove of locally made gifts, featuring the work of over 50 talented artists and makers.

From handcrafted earrings and clothing made with vintage textiles to original artwork, quirky homeware, and beautifully designed cards, there’s something here for every taste and occasion. Whether you’re buying for a loved one or simply treating yourself, you’re bound to find something special.

More than just a shop, owner Jules has created a thriving platform for independent creatives. Each item in store is thoughtfully curated, and the stock changes every three months, giving new artists a chance to shine and regular visitors something new to discover each time they stop by.

One of the standout things about Jules Emporium is its commitment to accessibility. Prices start at just 50p, proving that beautiful, original pieces can be enjoyed by everyone regardless of budget or status. During our visit we spent some time rummaging through what is affectionately nicknamed ‘The Closet’, another delightful area of the shop that is stuffed to the brim with a handpicked collection of vintage clothing adding further to the store’s eclectic charm and appeal.

Beyond the main boutique, a gallery space at the rear hosts an exciting calendar of creative workshops, exhibitions and events. This welcoming space further cements the Emporium’s role as a community-focused business where art and connection combine.

For the latest workshops, check out their website.

Jules Emporium personifies the originality of Brighton and continues to celebrate individuality and foster community spirit. We highly recommend this wonderful Aladdin’s Cave and, as always, encourage you to support local.
