This month we celebrate men and Discover has been fortunate enough to chat with Finn Richardson, men’s mental health guru and founder of a brand new wellness company EvolveU.

Words by Samantha Harman

I met Finn on a beautiful sunny afternoon in Brighton and could immediately see why people would seek him out for therapy. He has a light energy and I felt much calmer and less tired after being in his presence. He is passionate about healing people and has many interesting tales from  travels across the globe that have led him to where he is now, the founder of his own well-being company the cleverly named evolveU.

The foundations of evolveU are threefold, incorporating life coaching, Reiki healing and hypnotherapy. Clients can expect to receive a bespoke package using one, two or even all three methods depending on what their individual needs are, these will be assessed during your first meeting. Life coaching is primarily about upgrading your lifestyle, especially if you’ve been feeling stuck and need guidance. Reiki is about energy transference and Finn is a qualified level 2 healer who learned his craft while visiting Bali, with Kat Wheeler a reputable Master healer and author. Hypnotherapy is about reprogramming your subconscious mind to overcome fears,  phobias and bad habits such as smoking.

evolveU will be offering healing circle sessions in non-judgmental spaces as well as one-to-one sessions, so there’s something for everyone’s individual needs and comfort levels. Finn plans to offer some free workshops and social media content as taster sessions and also for those who aren’t in a financial position to pay. His ethos is very much about giving and paying it forward. Finn is one of only a hundred people globally who were chosen to learn a revolutionary technique known as ‘The Rewind Technique’ by Mark Tyrrell, an acclaimed hypnotherapist. This revolutionary technique helps people who don’t want to relive the trauma they experienced by bringing it back up through traditional psychotherapy and talking therapy. It is proven to deliver fast results meaning it is perfect for people with a busy lifestyle who don’t want to (or can’t) spend hours in therapy. Before leaving we discussed Finn’s other passion, his beautiful garden which sounds magical. Palm trees have been planted alongside ‘the healing hut’ and from the photographs he showed me, the space looks like it has been transported straight from Bali to Brighton. Clients can expect to receive healing here during the summer months in this secluded haven.
