Jules Emporium: Eclectic and unique

28 Mar, 2026
Jules Emporium

Jules Emporium sits proudly on New Road in Brighton and has become a haven for independent creativity. Home to more than 50 artists and makers, the much-loved shop is known for its carefully curated selection of handmade jewellery, artwork, ceramics and one-of-a-kind gifts. This April, founder Jules is celebrating a special milestone: the emporium’s third birthday.

“We’re having a party to celebrate,” she says with a smile. “It will be three years since we opened, so it feels like the perfect moment to bring everyone together.” The celebration takes place on Sat 25 Apr from 18:00–20:00, just after the shop closes for the day. The event is open to everyone – artists, customers and curious visitors alike – and promises drinks, nibbles and the warm, community atmosphere Jules Emporium has become known for.

“We have so many artists involved with the shop that it’s really nice to get them all together,” Jules explains. “Customers can meet the people behind the work, and the artists get to connect with each other too. It’s a lovely chance to celebrate that community.” The shop will remain open during the party, meaning guests can browse and purchase pieces while chatting with the makers themselves – a rare opportunity to hear the stories behind the creations.

The celebrations won’t stop there. Throughout April, Jules Emporium will also be running a series of surprise offers and exclusive in-store deals. “We’re not announcing exactly what they’ll be,” Jules laughs. “Part of the fun is coming in to see what’s happening. Some days there might be 30% off certain items, or three-for-two special offers. It keeps things exciting.”

Alongside the birthday celebrations, there’s another exciting development on the horizon: the long-awaited completion of a brand-new studio space in the building’s basement. The downstairs area will serve as a dedicated workshop studio, designed to host creative sessions and hands-on events.

“Before, we ran workshops in the back room, but it was never a dedicated space,” Jules says. “Now we’ll have a proper studio setup, which makes it much easier for people to host creative workshops.”

The team is inviting artists, writers and creative practitioners to get in touch if they’re looking for a central Brighton venue to host workshops.
