Returning this July, Brighton Trans Pride 2026 once again brings thousands together for a powerful day of visibility, protest, celebration and community spirit. Taking place on Sat 18 July, the grassroots-led event continues to stand proudly at the heart of the city’s LGBTQ+ calendar, championing trans, non-binary and intersex voices at a time when solidarity and representation feel more important than ever.
Founded in 2013, Brighton Trans Pride has grown into the largest Trans Pride event in Europe and remains entirely volunteer-run, with accessibility, inclusivity and community care central to everything it does. This year’s event begins at Jubilee Square, where crowds will gather from 11:00 before speeches at 11:30 and the march for trans liberation sets off through the city at 12:00.
The atmosphere is expected to be both joyful and defiant, blending celebration with activism as supporters, allies, families and members of the trans community come together in solidarity. Activity will once again spread across Brighton, with the Corn Exchange hosting performances and community stalls, while Dorset Gardens offers a relaxed family picnic space and New Steine Gardens becomes a hub for charities, organisations and grassroots groups.
