So Sauna’s new home in Hangleton

So Sauna’s new home in Hangleton

There’s something rather magical about discovering a sauna hidden away in a secret garden. That’s exactly what awaits you at So Sauna’s new home in Hangleton, where the much-loved mobile sauna has found a permanent spot surrounded by greenery at Hangleton Manor, one of Brighton’s oldest pubs.

Previously based at the British Engineerium, So Sauna has moved to a similarly peaceful suburban setting, with privacy and convenience at the heart of the experience.

The new location sits behind Hangleton Manor, one of Brighton’s oldest pubs, and even comes with the added bonus of being close to the pub garden, perfect for a refreshing drink and a bite to eat after your sauna session.

The sauna setup itself remains the same, alongside the familiar cold plunge baths and shower, but the new site gives So Sauna plenty of room to grow, with plans afoot for a proper changing area, places to relax between sessions and other familiar touches are being reintroduced slowly as the space develops.

Sessions will run throughout the week, with weekday evenings from 17:30 to 20:30, Fri daytime sessions from 10:00–14:00, Fri evenings until around 21:00 and Sun from 10:00–16:00.

Saturdays will be reserved for special events and collaborations, including yoga and sauna sessions, women’s circles and other wellbeing experiences. Be sure to follow on socials or check the website for more information.

Bookings are recommended, particularly on popular days, although walk-ins are welcome when space allows. Community sessions accommodate up to six people, while private bookings can welcome up to eight, making it a lovely option for birthdays, hen parties or simply a catch-up with friends.

As the colder months arrive, expect So Sauna’s refreshment station to return, serving warming teas before or during sessions, alongside cold water and optional body scrubs.

So Sauna’s new chapter is all about making sauna part of everyday life, a chance to switch off, sweat it out and slow down, in natural surroundings.
