At BN1 Arts Centre CIC, we believe creativity belongs to everyone. Our programme continues this October with opportunities to perform, sing, create and connect – alongside space for new creative practitioners to join our growing community.
Youth Spotlight: A Professional Showcase for Emerging Artists
(ages 18–23) – Sat 3 Oct
Youth Spotlight is BN1 Arts Centre’s bi-monthly showcase platform for exceptional young artists ready to share completed work in front of a live audience. Whether you’re a musician, singer-songwriter, theatre maker, comedian, dancer or choreographer, Youth Spotlight provides the opportunity to present your work in a professional venue without the financial barriers of hiring a performance space.
This is not a work-in-progress event. It is a platform for artists who are ready to perform finished work and begin building their professional profile. Our intimate venue seats approximately 40 audience members, creating an engaging environment where artists, industry professionals and audiences can genuinely connect.
Soul A Cappella Family Choir – Fridays
Our Soul A Cappella Family Choir continues every Friday, bringing families and people of all ages together through singing. There are no auditions and no previous experience is needed. Children and young people who would rather not sing can take part in supervised creative arts and crafts activities, allowing parents and carers to join the choir without worrying about childcare. It’s a welcoming, relaxed space to sing, make friends and have fun together.
Singers’ Night – Sat 14 Nov
Our popular Singers’ Night returns on Sat 14 Nov. More than an open mic, it’s a professional showcase where singers perform alongside the BN1 House Band in an intimate, supportive environment.
Whether you’re an experienced performer or an emerging artist, Singers’ Night is about creating opportunities to perform, connect and be heard.
Are you looking for a creative space?
We are also looking for new creative practitioners and teachers to join our evening timetable.
Our studios are available for dance, movement, performance, fitness, creative workshops and other regular classes. If you have an idea for a class or are looking for a welcoming, accessible space to build your own creative community, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re particularly interested in hearing from practitioners who want to bring something new and exciting to Brighton.
