Best Curry Houses

Who doesn’t love a really good Ruby Murray? As always, we are spoilt for choice on where to go in our fair city, but here at Discover towers we managed to nail our top three…

Nanima – This friendly, family-run Asian kitchen and cafe is another hidden gem and you know how much we like uncovering those for you. The beauty of this Kemptown restaurant is that there’s no menu. Yes, you read that right. The family cook different dishes from scratch everyday, to offer a daily changing selection of the very best fresh food from across the regions of South and East Asia. With everything from main meals, rice, and noodle dishes, to a wide variety of sandwiches and snacks. There are also many vegan and vegetarian options on offer. And not forgetting exotic milkshakes and glorious bubble teas. Make sure you pay this independent neighborhood kitchen and cafe a visit soon. Support local. nanima.co.uk

Paval – In our humble opinion Paval is one of the best, traditional curry houses in the city. This intimate establishment is situated on St James’s Street, the ideal location to sink into after a few drinks in this vibrant area of Brighton. The food is 5-star, serving all the traditional dishes, but also with an innovative flair. If it’s an ice cold bottle of Tiger Beer and a well cooked curry you’re craving with friendly, efficient service then this is the place for you. Boasting one of the best Chicken Tikka Masalas we have ever tasted and delicious Naan bread. The good news is you can get the curry delivered to your door with Ubereats, so you don’t even need to leave the house. paval.co.uk

Curry Leaf Cafe – Serving South Indian street food, and allegedly the UKs finest selection of craft beer, this small independent eaterie is a local treasure worth shouting about. Try a thali platter to get a taste of everything with homemade poppadums, curry, biriyani rice, mung bean daal, veg pakoras, naan bread and pomegranate raita. The food will blow you away with its subtle flavours and colourful presentation. A simply gorgeous restaurant with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Decked out with wooden tables, exposed brick and vintage Indian design touches, the tag line reads: this is Indian Summer, Brighton style and we are here for it. curryleafcafe.com
