Ricky Gervais

01/11 Considered by many to be the most influential comedian since Charlie Chaplin, Gervais actually received the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy in 2016. He burst onto the scene in 2001 with the BBC TV series The Office, which went on to be the most successful comedy series of all time. Shown in 90 countries and spawning seven remakes, he has continued to entertain and outrage in equal measure ever since. With a string of hit series including Extras, Derek and After Life and an equal amount of awards under his belt,  even presenting the Golden Globe award ceremony five times, he returned to the stand up comedy circuit in 2021 after seven years with ‘SuperNature’.
