This internationally renowned singer, composer and actor has sold millions of albums worldwide and enjoyed an astonishing 23 Top 30 singles in the UK. His first release, And the Tears Came Tumbling Down, was in 1965 but his big break came in 1971 as the lead in the stage musical Godspell. Two years later he starred in the hit film That’ll Be the Day and released the international hit single Rock On, which went on to sell over a million copies. During the 1970s he became a household name and scored two number one hits with Gonna Make You A Star and Hold Me Close as well as starring in the films Stardust and Silver Dream Racer. In 1978 he played the role of Che in the original stage production of Evita and performed on Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds album. He appeared in the stage version in 2016.
