Bee Adamic / Cooler Than You

27 Feb, 2025

This month we chat to Bee Adamic, CEO of Liberty Music PR and mother-of-two about how she created the career of her dreams.

You’re the CEO of Liberty Music PR – please tell us more about your business? I co-founded it with my partner Adam. We’re business and life partners, which can be fun, crazy and also tough at times. Liberty PR is a music comms agency, going into its ninth year. We offer the 360 on promotional services, everything required for new releases, albums, EPs, or music videos. Give it to us and we’ll look after you every step of the way.

What inspired you to forge a career in the music industry? I’ve always wanted to work in this industry. It seemed like such an interesting, fast-paced, creative space. I used to work in financial services and began to side hustle, working nine-to-five while creating valuable experiences in the evenings and weekends in the music biz.

I first became a music journalist, then created music nights at Green Door Store, then hosted a radio show, then started managing a band.

Who are your stand-out artists and why? We have many. Right now I’m loving 45ACIDBABIES who are a genre blurring multi-instrumental Dutch band. Check out their visuals and brand – very cool! We are also working on a collaboration song with Ghostface Killah – need I say more!

You recently became a mum again, how do you balance family life and work? I have a six-month-old and I’m mid 40s. I must be mad (I also have an 8 year old) It’s all about systems and processes. I have an amazing Au pair, but I’m a workaholic.  I love what I do. Second time around I’m taking some much needed maternity leave. First time around I was back to work after a month as I’d literally just launched Liberty as I fell pregnant, so it was a mad mix of breastfeeding whilst taking zoom calls with clients, tag teaming with my partner and running to London for meetings and events.

As it’s IWD and Mother’s Day this month can you tell us what women inspire you?  My Italian nan Geny. She was a strong, loving, courageous, fun and creative woman. She spoke several languages and told me if there was anything I wanted in life ‘just go for it’, work hard, play hard, love hard and create your own opportunities. Don’t wait for anyone else, ‘just do it yourself’ that’s been my life motto.

Any exciting projects coming up? I’m off to the Brit Awards this month which I love! It’s always good to connect with the industry. We are constantly adapting as a business and have so many exciting products launching.

Tell us three things you love about Brighton? The best coffee shops in the land. Coffee at 33 is my fave. Nothing beats a sauna on the beach at Beach Box Sauna followed by a dip in the sea. The people –  you won’t find a better melting pot of personalities and backgrounds.
