Botanica Room : Hotel Pelirocco

26 Apr, 2024

Looking for a hotel suite that will provide the ultimate backdrop and inspiration for the sexiest night of your life? Read on to find out more…

You literally feel like a kid in a sweet shop when you arrive at Hotel Pelirocco, it is for us an escape that makes you forget the outside world. The Peli, as it is affectionately known, has different themed rooms available with something to suit all tastes. Using icons such as Betty Page, David Bowie, Diana Dors and Dolly Parton or films including Moulin Rouge, Star Wars and Quadrophenia as their design inspo, this is not a place for wallflowers. It’s kitch and achingly cool with artwork that provides a sensory overload in a really good way.

Once a year, Hotel Pelirocco unveils a new room refurb. This time it is the turn of arguably the sexiest room in the building. Formally known as Lovers Lair, the space is actually a suite as opposed to one room and features a sitting area, outside patio, a bath easily big enough for four people and the piece de resistance, an enormous round bed with mirrored ceiling and fully functioning stripper pole adjacent.

The suite is renamed Botanica and as you would expect has a plant theme, with gorgeous hand painting by artist, Clara Wilkinson of livingwallmurals.com

The mirrored bed ceiling is dressed in intertwining leafy floral plants that slightly hang down giving Garden of Eden vibes, and this theme is carried throughout the whole space.

The bath is similar to a small swimming pool, (yes, it’s that big) with gorgeous turquoise tiles, wooden fixtures and more flora and fauna. You can live your best shriveled (on account of how long you’ll stay in there) mermaid fantasy, immersed in bubbles. The spacious bathroom also boasts double sinks.

The Pelirocco team headed by Marko, cannot do enough for you and it is them who really make your stay, with expertly shaken cocktails, (the Delboy is a firm favourite) many anecdotes about the hotel’s infamous rock and roll history and a breakfast to die for – going home doesn’t seem very appealing after a night spent here.

Our advice? Book this room and spend a glorious, sexy night with someone you love (or lust) and we can guarantee you’ll be floating out of the door by morning. To stay here is a real treat and one you won’t forget in a hurry.
