Members of the Rainbow Fun Run recently celebrated its 2025 event, raising an impressive £5,960 for charity. Of this, £5,620 was donated to Allsorts, an LGBT+ youth charity. This year’s run saw over 493 participants and featured special guest Dame Kelly Holmes.
Now in its fourth year, since its inception in 2021, to date, the run has raised a total of £18,240 for charity. Organised by the local LGBT+ running club Brighton & Hove Frontrunners, the event takes place in Hove Park and is entirely staffed by volunteers
To mark the occasion, the Mayor of Brighton invited the Rainbow Run team and her chosen charity for the year, Allsorts, to the Town Hall for a cheque presentation. Uniquely, the Mayor wore the Hove chains in the official photos — the first time they’ve been worn publicly since before 2000.
