Brighton Fringe 2026

Brighton Fringe unveils its spectacular 2026 line-up of comedy, theatre and dance for its 21st year.

Brighton, brace yourself: the glorious chaos that is Brighton Fringe is back, and for its 21st year it’s bigger, bolder and bursting at the seams with brilliance. Running from 1–31 May 2026, this open-access extravaganza once again throws the rulebook out of the window, inviting anyone and everyone to take part, resulting in a city-wide celebration of the weird, the wild and the wonderfully unexpected.

Brighton Fringe 2026

As the third-largest Fringe festival on the planet, this is creativity without a filter. Around 30% of shows are homegrown, proving Brighton and Hove’s artistic pulse is very much alive and kicking. Better still, the Fringe continues to champion accessibility, with affordable registration, flexible ticket pricing and the return of its payment plan for artists. Add to that 33 bursaries (worth around £13,000 in support) and it’s clear this is a festival that genuinely backs its talent.

On stage, expect everything from glitter-drenched drag to deeply personal storytelling. Jonny Woo’s award-winning Suburbia returns, while Are You Even Indian? explores identity and love through dance theatre. There’s camp chaos in Custard Club, boyband parody in MAN!FEST and powerful family legacy in NIUSIA.

Comedy lovers are spoiled for choice. Dive into the apocalyptic absurdity of RATMAGEDDON, buckle up for the high-octane silliness of Police Cops or embrace the gloriously unhinged with Guess Boo. It’s bold, bonkers and brilliantly Brighton.

Beyond the stage, things get physical, think acrobatics, immersive dance worlds and gravity-defying spectacle. For families, there’s magic, bubbles, puppets and opera (yes, really). Meanwhile, cabaret and nightlife bring late-night sparkle, from burlesque blowouts to bingo with a twist.

Feeling curious? Take to the streets with haunted walks, witchcraft tours and tales of Brighton’s most fearless women. Prefer something slower? Settle in for poetry, live illustration and thought-provoking talks.

In short: whether you’re here for belly laughs, mind-bending theatre or a little bit of everything, Brighton Fringe 2026 is your all-access pass to a month of pure creative mayhem. Dive in.
