Brighton Girl Awards 2025

29 Apr, 2025

We were excited to attend the annual Brighton Girl Awards last month held at vibrant co-working and event space, PLATF9RM in Hove. As proud sponsors of the Fitness Space of the Year category, we were honoured to be part of a night that celebrated some of the most inspiring women and businesses in our city.

After much deliberation (and a few tough calls), we awarded Revitalise the top spot in our category, with Dynamo Gym taking a strong second and Sea Lanes coming in third. Each space brought something truly special to the local fitness scene, and we were blown away by the passion, energy and community focus they all represent.

The event, brilliantly organised by Brighton Girl founder Pippa Moyle and her incredible team of volunteers, was created to champion the achievements of women living and working in Brighton & Hove and certainly delivered.

The coveted Brighton Girl of the Year title went to the inspiring Kaia Allen-Bevan, with Lyndsey Clay of Connected Brighton taking second place, and Sabina Palmero in third.

In the Creative of the Year category, the talented Aflo. the poet. took the crown and opened the show with a powerful performance of her celebrated poem ‘Brighton Girl.’ Performer Alice Ella came in second, with Luisa Christie rounding out the top three. Brighton’s vibrant business scene had much to celebrate too, some highlights are as follows… We were especially delighted for our friends at Hotel Pelirocco, who took home Hotel of the Year, followed by Hotel Du Vin in second and the iconic Grand Brighton in third. Simon Webster Hair was awarded Salon of the Year, a well-deserved win for a beloved and long-established local business.

Venue of the Year went to The Old Market, which is currently fundraising to secure its future (check out our What’s On section for more on that). Komedia Brighton and Concorde 2 claimed second and third places, respectively.

A huge congratulations to all the nominees and winners. Brighton continues to shine thanks to the amazing women and businesses who make it so special.
