Brighton Kink Market

We chat to Plum, owner of Brighton’s much-loved She Said Boutique, about her newest baby Brighton Kink Market – a bold, inclusive space where curiosity is celebrated and self-expression takes centre stage.

Tell us about Brighton Kink Market?

I started Brighton Kink Market last year after feeling a demand for a kinky and alternative space that supports small businesses and makers and our vibrant community. We have created an event where people can explore their desires in a safe, accessible, queer-friendly and fun place. Our tag line is ‘Curious newbies and seasoned kinksters are welcome!’

Based on previous events, what has the response been like?

This will be our third market. We had an overwhelmingly positive response from the community for the first two markets with over 700 people through the doors both times. I was brought to tears at the end after hearing how well all our traders did, most of them achieving their highest takings ever compared to all other markets. We’re so lucky to have the support of our community behind us.

Favourite products available?

This is such a hard question! We’ve got over 20 traders that have been selected to ensure quality and variety. I’m very excited we have Finleys House – known best for their frilly latex designs, which have been worn by the likes of Lola Young and Chappell Roan. We’re also big fans of Jack’s Floggers, Diable Designs and Slutcakes (who will be providing yummy and kinky treats).

Next date/venue/time?

Our Valentine’s market is on Sat 7 Feb 12:00–18:00 at Werks Central on Middle Street, a couple of minutes from The Lanes and Brighton seafront. This time we are also offering our first accessible early shopping slot from 11:30–12:00, with limited capacity, no music and a chill atmosphere. We have another three Kink Markets lined up for 2026 in March, July and November – check our social media for more details!
