Charity Speed Dating

4 Mar, 2025

What: Meet Dads & Lads Charity Speed Dating

When: Thursday 27 March, 7.45pm-late

Where: Blind Busker pub, 75 Church Road, Hove BN3 2BB

Event Information: Single dads and younger men, namely lads, looking for a meaningful romantic relationship will get the chance to meet mums and lasses.

The onus is to find a special connection during six-minute mini-dates by being yourself, and not too inquisitive about the person opposite.

How It Works: Men are rotated from table to table for each mini-date, with a final ‘lucky dip’ rendezvous at the end when ladies will move around for the final mini-date that lasts three minutes.

Participants message the host at the end of each mini-date their name, details of the person they just met and either Yes that they wish to see them again or No that they don’t. Results are sent the following day.

Host/Organiser: Brighton & Hove-based Love Doctor Monti, whose first softback edition of his latest book Journey To Find The Perfect Partner Forever sold out in five months in the UK, will be the host and organiser. He writes a weekly Dear Love Doctor column in Jamaica, about love and relationships.

Ticket Information: Tickets available online from https://skiddle.com/e/40705303, and at the Blind Busker in person.

All tickets include a glass of prosecco during the event. £5 from each ticket goes to Sussex children’s charity Family Support Work (www.familysupportwork.org).

Cost: £15 in advance, £20 on the night.
