Ciao Bella

30 Sep, 2022

Ciao Bella is an eco-friendly nail and beauty salon in Hove that pride themselves on a first-class service for every customer. From their gorgeous premises on Western Road in Hove, they offer a range of beauty services: manicures, pedicures, massage, hair treatment, facials and waxing. The team at Ciao Bella describe themselves as “true beauty enthusiasts” and are passionate about providing a high-quality and comfortable service. Ciao Bella has won rave reviews online and a dedicated customer base. They are also proud to be an eco-friendly beauty establishment: they only use vegan gel products and chemical-free nail polish, so you can get your beauty fix with the bonus of knowing it’s being done right by the environment. Discover Bighton was thrilled to go along and experience this for ourselves. The Ciao Bella salon is a welcoming, attractive space with a relaxed feel. Excited by the vegan ethos, we decided to go for a classic mani-pedi treatment. Sparkly new fingers and toes, please! Azi, one of the team of beauticians, talked us through the various options: polish, gel, acrylic…the world is our nail oyster. After lengthy discussion with the very patient Azi, we chose a gel French manicure for the hands and a classic red gel for the toes. The manicure was a lovely process. After soaking the fingers in a cleaning solution, Azi pushed back the cuticles and thoroughly cleaned our fingernails. Next, the really exciting steps – Azi carefully applied the various layers of gel paint to create a beautiful French manicure. Her attention to detail was exquisite and the end result was really beautiful. Her calm, friendly and professional manner made the entire experience a pleasure, especially the lovely little hand massage at the end when Azi applied hand cream to soften the hands after all that soaking and cleaning! Next, we moved onto the pedicure. This took place in one of Ciao Bella’s comfy pedicure chairs, perfect for sitting back and enjoying the experience in comfort. Azi removed the woefully out-grown previous gel nail polish, cleaned the nails and then began to carefully apply the layers of the gel shade we’d chosen. Again, the entire experience was relaxing, professional and most importantly the end result was fantastic – high quality, thick shiny gel polish that is going to last for weeks. Discover Brighton will definitely be back for another mani-pedi. The customer service was fantastic and the results were stunning. Ciao Bella also offers massage, waxing and more – we think we may need to come back and try these out too. Purely in the name of thorough research for our dear readers, of course…
