Actor, comedian, broadcaster and one of the UK’s most beloved Funk and Soul DJs, Charles is back in Brighton and this time he will be playing on the terrace in the, hopefully, glorious sunshine. First appearing on TV as a performance poet, he soon began presenting but his big break came with the role of Lister in Red Dwarf. From there he presented the much loved Robot Wars and joined the cast of Coronation Street in 2005 but music was always his passion. He played in various bands in his native Liverpool and even recorded two sessions for the legendary John Peel. Since 2002 he has presented The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on BBC 6Music, playing a diverse range of the latest releases and classic tracks. He regularly performs sell out DJ sets at numerous clubs and festivals across the globe, never failing to fill the dance floor.
