SUMMARY:Life Learnings of a Nonsensical Human
DESCRIPTION:Life Learnings of a Nonsensical Human – This is an ode to friendship\, queerness and raving. To the kindness of strangers\, the heart-break of loss\, and finding joy again amidst grief. This is a love letter to the people we meet along the way\, and the sticky floors we have danced on all these years. \nSpoken word theatre in a debut one woman show that gleefully jumps from one subject to another in the way only an ADHD brain can. A series of poetic windows into the life and mind of Jenny Foulds\, from growing up in the 90s\, coming out and raves; to losing a parent\, grief and finding the ability to find pockets of joy again. \nThis event is supported by Elle Dillon-Reams. a neurodiverse\, queer artist\, from Brighton. A multi award winner of Poetry Slams across the UK\, her debut poetry collection ‘Maladaptive’ was published by Verve Poetry Press. Elle was part of the BBC6 Music Poetry class of 2023\, featuring on BBC6 Music’\, and has since had several commissions from the BBC. Her debut solo show ‘HoneyBEE’ sold out and received rave reviews\, winning her the Three Week’s Editor’s award for performance and Best Newcomer from The Scotsman in Edinburgh 2019. \nDoors 6:30. Show 7pm.

SUMMARY:Desiree Burch: The Golden Wrath
DESCRIPTION:There comes a day when you look around and wonder “is the world a raging bin fire\, or is it perimenopause?” The answer\, my friend\, is “yes”.\nThis show has been rescheduled from Thursday 13 November 2025. All tickets for the original date remain valid for the show on 19 March 2026. \nAuthentic\, curious\, and gleefully irascible\, storyteller and comedian Desiree Burch leads a madcap voyage through the Middle Ages – AKA the mid-life crisis\, and its mandatory metamorphosis – in her new stand up hour. \nDesiree brings both childlike wonder and crone-like wit to the experiences of losing sleep\, relevance\, knee cartilage\, oestrogen\, youth\, and illusions in a laugh-packed hour that celebrates the fury and freedom found when you’ve accepted that time has ruined your plans\, but roll up your sleeves to fight it anyway. \nDesiree Burch is an American comedian who has appeared across the UK’s biggest comedy shows\, including Taskmaster\, The Mash Report\, Live At The Apollo\, Travelman\, The Last Leg\, QI\, and more. She’s also the wisecracking narrator of Netflix’s iconic guilty pleasure Too Hot to Handle. \n‘That Desiree Burch can have audiences of all demographics howling over something many would struggle to define is testament to rare comic chops.’ ★★★★★ Sydney Morning Herald (Australia) \n‘Spectacular as it gets without costumes\, props and fireworks.’ ★★★★★ Fest Mag \n‘Near-perfect example of comedic storytelling.’ ★★★★ The Evening Standard \n★★★★ The Guardian \n★★★★ The Scotsman
