DESCRIPTION:The Fairy & Dragon Trail at High Beeches Garden \nThis summer\, High Beeches Garden welcomes the return of the magical Willow Fairy and Dragon Trail. Come and visit this delightful 25-acre woodland and water garden and discover beautifully crafted willow sculptures hidden across the glades. A circular walk of around an hour allows you to soak up the tranquillity of the garden while you hunt for the fairies and their friends. The trail is suitable for all ages but particularly enjoyable for younger children. Little ones are encouraged to dress up to join in the fun and you can keep them entertained with a trail pack\, available from the kiosk.\nOn selected dates this year\, we will be welcoming our special friend\, Evie\, the Shetland Unicorn for some guest appearances. Don’t forget to follow us on social media to learn more.\nThe Kiosk will be open throughout for hot and cold drinks\, cakes\, and ice creams. DESCRIPTION:Folklore Sessions Presents; Andrea Von Kampen\n+ Support\n14th August | The Folklore Rooms\n£14adv | 18+ \nAndrea von Kampen is a Nebraska-based singer-songwriter whose music blends intimate storytelling\, poetic lyricism\, and warm acoustic arrangements. Rooted in the landscapes of the Great Plains\, her songs explore connection-to the natural world\, to one another\, and to the quiet moments that shape us. With over 60 million Spotify streams\, releases on Fantasy Records\, and appearances at some of the most respected folk and Americana festivals\, von Kampen has built a devoted global following. \nHer national breakthrough came early\, earning a Top 10 NPR Tiny Desk shout-out in 2016\, which introduced her thoughtful songwriting to a wider audience. In 2019\, she self-released her debut full-length album\, Old Country\, a collection of reflective folk songs that found success on Spotify and among indie bloggers\, establishing her as an emerging voice in the contemporary folk scene. \nIn 2021\, von Kampen signed with Fantasy Records and released her sophomore album\, That Spell\, further refining her lyrical and melodic sensibilities. The record expanded her reach and led to extensive touring and festival appearances. The following year\, she made her acting and film debut starring in the independent feature A Chance Encounter\, distributed by Samuel Goldwyn. Von Kampen also wrote and recorded the film’s soundtrack\, released via Fantasy Records\, showcasing her ability to translate narrative storytelling across mediums. \nHer third full-length album\, Sister Moon\, was self-released in 2024 and marked a deeply personal and artistic evolution. Inspired in part by the writing of Richard Powers\, the album explores themes of climate change\, environmental stewardship\, and humanity’s relationship to the earth. \nVon Kampen’s 2025 EP\, Before I Buy a Gun\, protests the resurgence of hateful rhetoric in American politics\, offering an urgent yet hopeful collection of songs calling for justice\, solidarity\, and compassion. \nIn addition to her recorded work\, Andrea von Kampen is widely recognized for her engaging live performances. Her shows are filled with storytelling\, humor\, and heartfelt connection\, weaving personal anecdotes and reflections between songs to create a concert experience that feels intimate\, welcoming\, and deeply human. \nVon Kampen has performed at renowned festivals including Newport Folk Festival\, Rocky Mountain Folks Festival\, and the 30A Songwriter Festival. Expect classic non-stop singalongs anthems from one of the South Coast’s most exciting live bands. \nDance the night away to classics from Queen\, George Michael\, Madonna\, Billy Idol\, Tears for Fears\, Bruce Springsteen\, Tina Turner\, Nirvana\, Blur\, Stereophonics\, The Killers\, Kings of Leon\, plus selected favourites from artists including Harry Styles\, Taylor Swift\, Bruno Mars and more. \nHaving trained at the prestigious British & Irish Modern Music Institute alongside artists including James Bay and George Ezra\, Midnights have spent years perfecting their high-energy live performances.
