SUMMARY:Von Hertzen Brothers (Acoustic Enough)
DESCRIPTION:Von Hertzen Brothers (Acoustic Enough) | Finnish progressive rock visionaries Von Hertzen Brothers\, return to the UK in October 2026 for a very special run of intimate seated theatre shows. \nCelebrating 25 years as a band\, the Finnish band will present a unique live experience unlike anything they have previously brought to UK audiences. The band wryly describe these performances as acoustic “enough” – while the songs may be reimagined away from their usual electric rock set-up\, these shows are anything but stripped back. Far from a simple “unplugged” set\, these shows interpret the band’s music in a way that is intimate\, expansive and more immersive than ever before. \nThe three brothers\, Mikko\, Kie and Jonne Von Herzen are joined on stage by their bandmate\, multi-instrumentalist Markus Pajakkala whose impressive array of instruments goes far beyond a traditional acoustic set-up. The brothers themselves also show off their insane musical skills\, each playing multiple instruments and taking turns on drums\, keyboards\, guitars\, vocals\, percussion and whatever else is on hand. \nPresented in seated theatre and cabaret style venues\, these evenings are designed to bring audiences closer to the songs and stories at the heart of the music. Spanning the band’s rich 25-year catalogue\, audiences can expect fan favourites\, deep cuts and rarely performed material presented in brand new arrangements created especially for these shows. \nFor over two decades\, Von Hertzen Brothers have built a reputation as one of Europe’s most adventurous and compelling live bands. Blending progressive rock\, folk\, psychedelia and soaring vocal harmonies\, they have earned a devoted following through their nine acclaimed studio albums\, major festival appearances and unforgettable live performances. \nWhether you are discovering Von Hertzen Brothers for the first time or have followed them for years\, Acoustic Enough promises a unique concert experience unlike any other.

SUMMARY:Noah Guthrie
DESCRIPTION:Folklore Sessions Presents; Noah Guthrie\n+ Support\nNovember 7th | The Folklore Rooms\n£18adv | 18+ \nAmericana singer-songwriter Noah Guthrie’s sound has been described as possessing Chris Stapleton’s country/rock grit with the authenticity of Jason Isbell. The unique soulfulness in his richly textured voice and the unmistakable Southern influence in his music makes him capable of conveying emotion as only a handful of artists can in today’s musical landscape. Noah’s latest album\, Oddly Flexible\, is a bittersweet reflection on growing up and the disorienting changes that come with it. The album explores the contrast between the freedom and wonder of childhood imagination with the harsh realities of adulthood. Noah speaks on things he’s learned and\, often more importantly\, things he has unlearned. Despite the overwhelming weight of changing times\, here’s an undercurrent of hope that each new day brings a chance to find perspective and healing. \nNoah has built a strong following through powerful live performances\, social media and television. He has released three critically-acclaimed albums. He has also performed on NBC’s Today Show and Tonight Show\, Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family\, and ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. The producers at the hit FOX TV show\, GLEE\, discovered his YouTube channel and were so Impressed with Noah’s voice\, that they recruited him as a cast member for the sixth season of the show. Noah was also a semi-finalist on the 13th season of America’s Got Talent. \nAs a solo performer (as well as with his band\, Good Trouble) Noah has performed at major festivals\, fairs and clubs all over the United States and Europe. Noah has opened for an impressive group of artists including Ed Sheeran\, Ben Rector\, Corey Smith\, Sister Hazel\, Matt Nathanson\, Dwight Yoakam and has had the rare privilege of opening 12 shows for the legendary Willie Nelson!

SUMMARY:An Dannsa Dub
DESCRIPTION:Folklore Sessions Presents\nAn Dannsa Dub\n+ Support\nNovember 11th\, The Hope & Ruin\n£14adv | 18+ \nNominated for Live act of the Year 2023/24 at the MG Na Trad Awards & The Scottish Altrnative Music Awards. An Dannsa Dub (The Dub Dance in Gaelic) is the brainchild of dub vocalist & producer Tom Spirals and Scottish traditional musician Euan McLaughlin formed in 2020. \nThe project fuses the mystical energy and instruments of traditional Scottish music and Gaelic song with the heavy\, meditative\, driving basslines digital dub music. Music is one big conversation. And few projects live at the heart of it like An Dannsa Dub. Born from a love of traditional Scottish folk\, dub reggae and dance music\, together they summon the joyous\, communal energy of a cèilidh and a sound system session. \nTheir name comes from the Gaelic for “The Dub Dance”. Their sound celebrates the ancient Gaelic and West African rhythms that influenced reggae\, which in turn\, via sound system culture and dub’s pioneering remixes\, produced modern dance music. Their live shows and recordings are a seamless\, pulsating fusion of all this and more.

SUMMARY:Samuel Nicholson
DESCRIPTION:Folklore Sessions Presents;\nSamuel Nicholson\n+ Support\nFriday 11th November | £10adv\nThe Folklore Rooms | 18+ \nSamuel Nicholson is a cathartic songwriter\, an impassioned singer\, and a gifted guitarist. With his love of music set alight by listening to Motown records in the car with his mother\, corrupted by hard rock records handed down by his father\, and finally formed by his own forays into jazz\, folk and experimental music of decades past. \nNicholson’s last album\, Birthday Suit\, came after years of searching and longing – serving as a dysfunctional self-portrait and a love letter in equal parts\, dancing from electrifying guitar solos to naked vulnerability. \nHaving spent the past two years locked away in the studio\, Nicholson returns to the stage for three intimate headline shows\, with the release of new music in sight.

SUMMARY:Slow Leaves
DESCRIPTION:Folklore Sessions Presents; \nSlow Leaves + Support\n£15adv | The Folklore Rooms\nNovember 14th | 18+ \n“I don’t write sad songs\, I write lonely songs\,” declares Slow Leaves in the liner notes to his 2025 album In Solitude\, For Company. His assertion could serve as a thesis statement for a body of work with recurrent themes of love\, loss\, loneliness\, memory\, and time. \nSlow Leaves is the project of Winnipeg’s Grant Davidson. Awarded Western Canadian Music Awards Songwriter of the Year\, his folk and psych-rock inclinations though rooted in fingerpicking songwriter of the past\, roam freely in today’s post-genre landscape. On his newest release and sixth Slow Leaves album of new material\, The Ruins of Things Unfinished\, Davidson explores his thoughts on ambition and the long setting sun of a life dedicated to art and family. \n“I’ve somehow made a career of self-perceived failure\,” he writes. “I’ve often reflected on whether that mindset fulfills its own prophecy: quite possibly. But I think at heart\, I’m not seeking greatness\, at least not outside my own little world. Or maybe I’ve simply given up on misplaced ambitions. My ambition now is a life of greatness in small spaces\, a private fame in close quarters\, a life so intimate it need only whisper its declarations of love and victory.” The Ruins of Things Unfinished came out in May 2026 on Birthday Cake Records and Make My Day in G/S/A/Benelux.
