SUMMARY:Ben de la Cour
DESCRIPTION:Folklore Sessions Presents; Ben De La Cour + Support\n14th April | £12adv\nThe Folklore Rooms | 18+ \nA natural storyteller\, Ben de la Cour’s visceral songwriting grabs you by the heart and doesn’t let go. Weaving evocative stories of desperate characters with his signature “Americanoir” sound\, de la Cour shines a glaring light on the human condition. \nHis latest release\, New Roses\, received * * * * from MOJO and was named Album of the Month. While Ben’s previous album Sweet Anhedonia felt like “the American heartland witnessed through the window of a car going 80mph” (American Songwriter)\, New Roses feels like being stuffed into the trunk and driven into an imploding star. The record is a singular and personal vision\, with de la Cour playing nearly every instrument and delivering his strongest vocal performance yet. The result is a razor-sharp album full of what he calls “night songs”- haunting\, impactful songs that feel like the witching hour. In a collection of songs filled with juxtaposition and duality\, de la Cour balances doom and optimism\, seeking out kernels of hope in the darkness. \n“A friend took me to see Ben de la Cour at a little hole-in-the-wall in Nashville. It didn’t take long to realize I was in the presence of greatness. He has much to say\, and knows how to say it as only a true poet can. You owe it to yourself to check him out. He is important. You need this bright young talent now more than ever. We all need Ben de la Cour.”\n– Lucinda Williams

SUMMARY:Vidura Bandara Rajapaksa: The Paradise Gothic Tour
DESCRIPTION:Vidura Bandara Rajapaksa: The Paradise Gothic Tour \nExtra EARLY show added due to demand! \nVidura Bandara Rajapaksa returns with Paradise Gothic\, a sharp\, darkly funny new hour exploring immigration\, anarchism\, “radical” buddhism\, and the absurdities of attempting to build a life within late-stage capitalism. \nWith his trademark deadpan delivery and postcolonial wit\, Vidura takes on corporate tech culture\, spiritual burnout\, and the strange comedy of trying to stay human in a world running by numbers. \nSmart\, subversive\, and quietly explosive; this is Vidura at his most fearless.

SUMMARY:Allman Brown
DESCRIPTION:Folklore Sessions Presents; Allman Brown + Support\nThe Folklore Rooms\n22nd April 2026 | £15adv\n18+ \nAllman Brown is a London\, UK based singer-songwriter influenced by classic artists of the genre: Springsteen\, Bon Iver\, Paul Simon\, Tracy Chapman and Feist. \nA preternaturally gifted vocalist\, Brown has released three studio albums – 1000 Years (2017)\, Darling\, It’ll Be Alright (2019) and Second Son (2024) – and a number of EPs\, which have accumulated a quarter of a billion streams and counting across both Spotify and Apple Music. Many of these songs have been used during dramatic moments of US TV shows such as The Good Doctor\, Station 19\, Criminal Minds and Suits\, lending an emotional gravitas which has come to be associated with Brown’s music. \nHis heart-on-sleeve compositions have taken him on headline tours of the UK\, Ireland\, continental Europe\, Asia and North America\, and in 2019\, he was invited to open to Dido on her first run of live shows for 15 years – this culminated in two sold out nights at London’s Roundhouse. That same year “Dust & Heat” made the BBC Radio 2 playlist as well as the RTE Radio 1 playlist in Ireland\, helping to cement Brown’s evergreen appeal. \nBrown’s third album Second Son (produced by Grammy winner Peter Katis in Connecticut) was his first for Nettwerk Music Group and featured the well-received singles “Breathe In\, Breathe Out”\, “Bad Blood” and “My Ordinary Life”. These songs showcased a more electronic sound to Brown’s previous acoustic-based work\, without losing his trademark storytelling ability.

SUMMARY:Katacombs
DESCRIPTION:Folklore Sessions Presents; Katacombs + Support\n22nd April\, The Folklore Rooms\n£15adv | 18+ \nKatacombs is the name Katerina Kiranos landed on after years of building sculptural furniture of bone and wood. Born in Miami to a Spanish mother and Greek father\, she spent the majority of her early life bouncing between multiple cultures and wanting to adapt. The common thread anywhere she landed was her love for music. Piano lessons as a child led to days on end of writing and recording from her makeshift bedroom-studio as a teen\, which turned into years of collecting songs- all just to store them away. Though she took a detour career-wise\, she continued to play where she could and could never escape the urge to spend every day honing her first true passion. She played keys in a few bands and dabbled in open mics but always ended up feeling best in a dark room\, single-handedly curating dramatic and ethereal melodies. Set on finally sharing that part of her world\, the one most sacred\, she started with a small body of work that embodies a wide range of some of her deeply rooted experiences and influences. \n“You Will Not”\, her debut EP\, is a collection of songs that individually represent a place and time of her life\, amounting to a rather emotional rollercoaster that traverses geographical borders and genres\, hitting the highs and the lows of self-discovery.

SUMMARY:AMY MASON: BEHOLD
DESCRIPTION:AMY MASON: BEHOLD \n“thrillingly funny” ★★★★ The Scotsman \nWhen Amy Mason got hacked\, she lost her number\, bank account and social media access. And then the hackers started sending her gifts… A surprising\, somewhat filthy dive into connection\, intimacy\, and the perils of using your dead cat’s name as your password for literally everything. \n“Witty\, unfiltered\, and enjoyably coarse\, diving right into how connection\, intimacy\, and the chaos of how modern life works in reality” ★★★★★ Broadway World \nAfter delighting Edinburgh Fringe audiences in 2025\, acclaimed writer\, theatre maker\, and comedian\, Amy Mason\, is going on tour with her “delightfully deadpan” (Skinny) brand of stand-up. \nThe debut stand-up hour\, Free Mason\, from the “brilliant” (Bridget Christie) comedian reflected on coming out in your 30s\, rinsing homophobes\, and forming a coven with your kids. Behold! is a silly yet razor-witted examination of digital dependency\, friendship and community. \n“Comedy perfection” ★★★★1/2 The Quintessential Review \nReaching over 20 million views on TikTok\, Amy Mason lives up to her “personal\, but totally universal” (WhatsOnStage) demeanour\, engaging audiences with “charmingly poignant and funny” (Herald) and “cheekily boundary-pushing” (The Scotsman) storytelling. \n“The comic timing is exquisite” ★★★★ London Theatre 1 \nYou would have heard Amy on BBC Radio 1\, BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz\, Huw Stephens’ Roundtable on BBC 6 Music and Hypothetical with Josh Widdicombe and James Acaster on Dave. She was shortlisted for BBC New Act of the Year 2022 and featured in the Guardian’s Top 10 Funniest Jokes of Edinburgh Fringe 2024. This astounding “uncut diamond” (Fringebiscuit.co.uk) has multiple TV shows in development with production companies including Clerkenwell and BBC Studios. \nThe show is directed by comedy icon Jessica Fostekew. \n“Tonight we discovered a genius called Amy Mason.
