Fancy Flying Around Brighton in a Gyrocopter?

29 Nov, 2024
Fly Gyrocopter are taking flights from Brighton City Airport around the delights of Brighton coastline, Devils Dyke, Beachy Head and the Isle of Wight.

You’ll be flying in an open cockpit Gyrocopter which will give you an exhilarating experience as you soar through the elements.

Each journey takes you over fields, hills, beaches, and towns with a stunning view from 800 feet. You’ll be low enough to wave at people below.

You’ll be in safe hands with a fully qualified pilot and instructor who was former Royal Navy and has amassed 30-years flying time.

What is a Gyrocopter? Not to be confused with a helicopter, Gyrocopters rotor blades aren’t powered by an engine. Instead, the engine powers a back propeller that pushes the Gyrocopter forward. As the aircraft moves, air passes naturally through its rotor blades creating lift.

The Gyrocopter is the ideal aircraft due to its manoeuvrability and wide range of flight capabilities (it cannot hover like a helicopter, but it can fly as slow as 20mph). It is perfect for a fun day out as you can discover for yourself!

There are various flying options available to choose from a 30-minute, 60-minute or whole day trip.

30- minute trip: Taking in the Brighton and Hove coastline to Newhaven and crossing Devils Dyke.

60- minute trip: See amazing Sussex views from Brighton to Beachy Head and the South Downs Ridge.

DayTrip: Soar over the Solent and land on the Isle of Wight. Enjoy aerial views of beautiful sandy beaches and stunning coastline as you approach and grab a bite of lunch at Sandown. Each flight includes a safety brief, aircraft overview and flight clothing required. You’ll also get a photo of you sitting in the aircraft to display proudly on your fridge afterwards.

How to get there: Getting to Brighton City airport is a breeze. By road travel westward from the A23 and follow directions to Worthing. Eastward from the A24/ Worthing area, follow directions to Brighton. By Train: Shoreham-by-Sea railway station is a one-mile walk. You can get the Stagecoach Coastliner 700 bus every 10-minutes from Brighton.

PROMOTION! Fancy buying a Gyrocopter Flight for a loved one? Fly Gyrocopter are offering a 20% discount on all 30-minute flights until 07/01/25.
