Halloween Inspo

26 Sep, 2025

Halloween falls on Friday 31 October – the perfect night to dress up, get spooky, and celebrate goth Christmas in true Brighton style. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly magic, a foodie fright or a big night out with all the ghoulish trimmings, the city has plenty lined up to keep your cauldron bubbling. We’ve scoured the interweb to bring you the best inspo for your haunting season…

Kick things off early at the Hocus Pocus Outdoor Cinema at Saltdean Lido on Monday 27 October. Gates open at 16:00 with the film starting at 17:00, just as the evening light fades into something a little more mysterious. This one’s perfect for families and fans of the Sanderson Sisters who want to relive the cult classic under the stars. Wrap up warm, grab a hot chocolate and prepare for some spellbinding nostalgia.

On Halloween itself, the Ghost Walk & Cellar Dining Experience at The Old Ship Hotel promises an unforgettable night of chilling tales paired with indulgent dining. Step back into Brighton’s haunted history as storytellers lead you through eerie tales before settling in for a feast in the atmospheric cellars. Perfect for foodies who love their frights served with a side of fine wine.

Younger spook-seekers don’t need to miss out either. On Monday 27 October, Komedia hosts the Brighton 16+ Halloween Rave, running from 17:00–21:00. Expect all the club vibes – booming beats, dazzling lights, and plenty of fancy dress – but in a safe, under-18s environment.

And for those who want a proper fright night blow-out, look no further than the Slash of 96 immersive Halloween party. This wild mash-up of theatre, comedy, cabaret and 90s music channels frat-party chaos with a gothic twist – the kind of night you’ll be talking about long after the fake blood has washed away.

So whether you’re cackling with kids, chasing cocktails or raving ‘til the witching hour, Brighton has you covered this Halloween.
