Hove Christmas Trail

28 Nov, 2025

Bringing magic to our streets

This December, Hove is set to sparkle a little brighter with the launch of the Hove Christmas Trail, a brand-new festive community initiative designed to bring residents together while shining a spotlight on the area’s independent businesses.

The project is the creation of two lifelong Hove residents and local creatives, J.J. Baiden-Amissah of Digital Freelancer, and Mia Douglas of Social Galaxy. Combining J.J.’s flair for digital innovation and community engagement with Mia’s talent for storytelling and social media, the pair have dreamed up a fun, festive way for locals to rediscover and support the independent shops, cafés, salons and restaurants that make Hove so special.

An interactive digital trail map showcases participating businesses and community hubs. Residents can scan a QR code to open the map, explore locations and check in at each stop to collect points. Every check-in earns an entry into the Grand Christmas Prize Draw, with an array of gifts and experiences donated by local traders.

To make the trail even more accessible, a printed version of the map will be distributed through local publications and as a festive postcard available at participating stores perfect for families to use as part of their ‘Letters to Santa’ adventures.“This is about more than just shopping or promotions,” says J.J. “It’s about bringing people together and celebrating the spirit of Hove.” Mia adds, “We wanted to create something that feels magical, something that highlights our independent businesses and the sense of community that makes this place home.”

Participating businesses will receive a full promotional package, including a digital map listing, a QR window poster, an NFC Google Review stand and personalised social media content to help boost visibility throughout the festive season.
