Le Petit Chef

31 Oct, 2025

A magical culinary adventure with Le Petit Chef,  at DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole.

If you’re looking for dinner with a difference, Le Petit Chef at the DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole is an experience that dazzles all the senses. This unique, immersive dining concept blends theatre, storytelling and fine cuisine, inviting guests on a culinary journey guided by the world’s tiniest (and most charming) chef.

From the moment you take your seat in the decadent 1890 restaurant at The Met, the projection-mapped visuals transport you through whimsical scenes, while each course arrives as a culinary interpretation of the story unfolding on your table.

The evening began with a leek and potato soup. This dish set the tone for the courses that followed. Silky, perfectly seasoned and topped with crispy bacon bits. It was comfort in a bowl and perhaps the best soup I’ve ever tasted, striking the balance between homely warmth and sophistication,

Next came my favourite of the night, baked cod rarebit, paired with a crisp white wine. Stunning flaky fish with a rarebit topping, served with tricolour carrots and delicate cabbage shavings. The dish managed to feel indulgent without tipping into heaviness, every mouthful a gorgeous balance of comfort and finesse, I could’ve easily eaten more. The grilled fillet of beef that followed was nothing short of impressive. Tender and melt-in-the-mouth good, accompanied by a beef croquette and something delicious wrapped in filo pastry (my memory evades me) with just the right amount of jus and paired with a full-bodied glass of red wine.

Finally, dessert arrived in the form of a chocolate lava cake with raspberry sorbet, paired with a sweet dessert wine. A dreamy finale. The decadent chocolate cake  gave way to a perfect molten centre, which was beautifully offset by the bright tang of the sorbet.

Le Petit Chef isn’t just a meal, it’s an unforgettable experience that will delight more than just your taste buds. Combined with the polished service and elegant surroundings of the DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole, it’s the kind of night out that everyone should participate in at least once. The perfect gift for family, friends and lovers alike – not to mention, well-behaved children are permitted and get their own special menu!

Book now – Le Petit Chef has taken up residence at DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole until March 2026.
