Life’s More Fun When You Say Yuup…

30 Mar, 2025

A vibrant new marketplace supporting local independent experiences has officially launched in Brighton and Hove. Yuup, the innovative platform, aims to assist local makers, producers, creatives, and businesses sell their unique experiences. By collaborating exclusively with independent hosts, Yuup connects residents and visitors alike to a variety of original, interesting activities that are often challenging to discover otherwise.

Originally launched in Bristol in April 2021, Yuup has quickly evolved into a thriving community, boasting nearly 600 experience hosts. The platform has expanded its reach to other cities, including Bath, the West Midlands, Cardiff, and Nottingham. With a strong community-led ethos focused on driving social impact, Yuup simplifies the market for local experiences and has generated over £6 million in income for its hosts since inception.

Brighton and Hove presents a natural progression for Yuup’s expansion, offering a new tool that allows consumers to easily access a diverse array of experiences while equipping independent hosts with the necessary technology, business support, and visibility typically reserved for larger companies. Dominic Mills, the Founder and CEO of Yuup, emphasises the platform’s mission: “We exist to connect local people to awesome experiences happening in their community. From goat yoga to coastal foraging, there will be something for everyone.”

Yuup is dedicated to creating a positive social impact by enabling experience hosts to reach new audiences and increase their income. The belief that experiences provide a fantastic opportunity for local enterprises to grow and diversify has been instrumental in building a robust host community across its existing locations, and the team is eager to extend that opportunity to passionate individuals in the city.

What does Yuup offer? The platform features a diverse range of experiences, from bread-making workshops and pottery classes to tea tasting and street art tours, empowering locals to step outside the ordinary while supporting their community. For some hosts, these experiences serve as a primary income source, while others see them as an additional revenue stream.
