New Season Trends By StylePixie

27 Feb, 2025

It’s almost time to change back the clocks, bare our ankles and shed the heavy dark layers of Winter. Our senses come to life with the first colourful blooms of Spring giving promise to brighter days ahead. It’s a time to reset, recalibrate and reinvent in both our homes and our wardrobes.

So, what are the New Seasons Trends to look out for in 2025 for Spring/Summer? As an advocate for continuing education around a sustainable approach to our wardrobes, I want to touch on the trends that are still cycling from last season and how best to approach making a few updated additions to keep you inspired and engaged with your current wardrobe.

[Colour Trends] Let’s first look at some of the colour trends making some noise this season. The good news is the hot ‘’IT’’ colours of Winter ‘’Burgundy and Chocolate’’ are not going anywhere and can be harmoniously paired with the softer new season’s colours of ‘’Butter Yellow, Pistachio Green and Peach Melba’’.

[Style Trends] Some of the more relaxed vibes that will feature this season will be a cycling back of the boho aesthetic as well as farmgirl chic, so if you loved this trend from a few years back, I hope you hung onto your favourites. Want to channel your inner cowgirl? Fabulous! Dust off your cowboy boots and hats and pair them with classic denims and linen shirts. Preppy revisits us this season and a follow on from the quieter trend of understated luxury will be the yachty trend, cable knits, sun hats and deck shoes.

[Shoes and Bags] In shoe trends we can expect to see more fisherman sandals and ballet shoes are still at the forefront of the season. Suede will continue to feature heavily in shoes, bags and jackets. The hottest bag shape for the season will be a long rectangular shape with structured shoulder straps, an update on the baguette.

[Jewellery] Think maximalist when it come to your accoutrements. Layer boldly rings and bracelet stacks with a more is more approach.

[Patterns] Large striking florals and bolder prints will be visible and our new season trend for animal prints also leans more boldly into more contrasting cow or zebra prints as opposed to the more neutral, leopard and cheetah of last season.

Trends always circle around, so invest wisely and always hang on to your favourite pieces, inevitably you will be bringing them back with a twist in a few years from now.

‘Till next time XOXO StylePixie
