Nymans National Trust

29 Apr, 2025

Kick-start your weekend with an evening visit to Nymans for one of the Friday lates with music. Every Friday from 11 Jul–15  Aug picnic on the lawn and relax and unwind.

Dogs are welcome for one of these special evening visits. Open-air theatre performances run throughout the summer at Nymans and a new exhibition begins in June celebrating the theatrical world of designer Oliver Messel, whose childhood home was at Nymans.

There are plenty of opportunities for kids to enjoy active challenges during the holidays with Comber’s Field full of activities such as archery, balance beams and running races. Play in the play glade and take a walk in the woodland along one of the waymarked trails.

Over at Standen, book a session of crazy golf and enjoy a sculpture exhibition in the garden, while children discover crafty activities in the woodland den. In the house, a display of arts and crafts items illustrates why Standen is one of the country’s foremost arts and crafts designed houses with William Morris & Co interiors.

Standen is set in a stunning hillside garden and tucked down a country lane, perfect for a day’s enjoyment. For all activities dates, times and admissions please check the website.
