Positive thought of the day, spring is only 60 days away and with this in mind, One Garden at Stanmer Park are offering some amazing one day horticultural workshops, perfect for those with green fingers wanting to make the most of their gardens later this year. Beat those January blues and immerse yourself in the natural beauty at One Garden while learning new skills and meeting new people 

Introduction to Plant Propagation 

Spend the day learning from expert Plumpton Horticultural College tutors acquiring new skills on plant propagation. During the one day workshop you will learn simple and effective ways to take cuttings, sow and grow seeds effectively. By propagating at home you will save time and money on your annual seed purchasing bill while bringing more colour and variety to your indoor and outdoor spaces. Enjoy the workshop with friends, family or come alone and meet like minded people. The course starts January 14th, from 10am – 4pm and costs £75.

Introduction to compost making 

Making your own compost is a wonderful way to bring environmentally friendly habits into your busy lifestyle and garden repertoire. This one day workshop will give you an introduction on how to utilise your food and garden waste that will improve your soil quality and also bring your garden to life this spring. You will learn what can be used in creating your own compost, techniques for creating healthy and strong compost and what the many benefits are. Workshop is January 24th, 10am – 4pm. £75.

Creating a cutting garden 

A flower cutting garden is a really effective use of your space. Create or dedicate a cutting garden or mingle your flowers throughout. This will provide colour to your indoor and outdoor spaces. During this one day workshop you will learn how to sow seeds to create your very own cutting garden and more about timings and plant supports for the growing stage of your seeds. Also how to take care of your pants and cut flowers creating seasonal and natural displays with zero fuss. Workshop is 26th January, 10am – 4pm, £75, book these courses through our website:
