Brighton’s vibrant theatre scene deserves equally memorable dinners beforehand – and the city delivers with tasty, well-priced pre-show menus and early evening set meals within easy walking distance of the theatres themselves. Many restaurants in the Lanes and around New Road offer set-menu deals or flexible early service, so you can enjoy quality food without rushing to curtain up.

Côte Brighton: A classic pick on Church Street near Brighton Dome with a dedicated pre-theatre prix-fixe menu (around £18 for two courses) designed for theatre-goers. Expect French favourites like steak frites and moules marinières served quickly and reliably if you book around 17:00–18:30.

Redroaster at Brighton Dome: Enjoy a pre-theatre menu with two dishes for £24 or three dishes for £29, including classics like prawn cocktail and steak frites. The venue is ideal if you’re seeing a show at Brighton Dome or Theatre Royal.
