Running events Brighton 2026
Brighton’s early summer running calendar brings together everything the city does best: sea air, community spirit and a slightly competitive streak wrapped in a lot of fun. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just out for the atmosphere, June is packed with reasons to lace up those running shoes!
Kicking things off is the Brighton TenDate on Sun 7 Jun, organised by RunThrough. Starting and finishing at the iconic Black Rock events space, this is a beautifully simple, fast course designed for speed. Runners can choose between 10 miles and 10km, both taking in a mostly flat, traffic-free route through the city centre before opening out onto Brighton’s famous seafront. It’s the kind of course where the scenery does half the work for you: long stretches of coastline, wide skies and the unmistakable feeling of running beside the sea. It’s a strong choice for anyone eyeing a personal best, but equally welcoming for those who just want to soak up the atmosphere. www.runthrough.co.uk

A week later, things take a very different turn with the Inflatable 5K on Sat 13 Jun at East Brighton Park. This is less about pace and more about pure, unfiltered joy. With distances ranging from 2.5km up to 15km, it’s an obstacle course packed with giant inflatable challenges, designed for all fitness levels. You can walk, jog or basically bounce your way around the course. It’s chaotic, colourful, and very much a ‘don’t take yourself too seriously’ kind of day out. www.ukrunningevents.co.uk

Then on Sun 28 Jun, the mood shifts again with the Race for Life Brighton 10k along Brighton seafront. Organised by Cancer Research UK, this is one of the city’s most heartfelt community events. Open to all paces and abilities, it’s less about competition and more about solidarity, remembrance and hope. Thousands come together to run, walk or jog the 10km route, raising vital funds for cancer research while moving together along the coast. www.findarace.com
