Sobar Sessions

This month we chat to Isadore creator of Sobar Sessions. Her events give the people of Brighton and Hove an opportunity to party without alcohol in cool settings with amazing DJs.

Tell us about Sobar sessions? Sobar Sessions is a new sober brand, primarily focused on redefining what it means to party sober. It’s 2024 and we deserve more than a lukewarm zero % beer. Sobar Sessions aims to bring a new era of cool partying for the ever growing sober and sober curious community and generations!

What inspired you to start the events? I have been sober for nearly two years and when I decided to stop drinking I found it difficult to find events to really let my hair down at. Things either felt overly alternative or boring and a bit fuddy duddy!

What do you love most about your parties? I love that we create community and connection! That’s the main aim. Uniting people who want more from life!

The Sober Curious movement is growing, why do you think that is? People are more aware than ever about the realities of their relationship with alcohol. I think the changes with social media and people openly talking about things more than ever has made a huge shift. This combined with the wellness industry being such a huge part of society means sobriety is attracting more and more people to a healthier happier life.

Your last event featured Woody Cook, what can we expect from your next event? I am busily working behind the scenes planning a Winter Event – The Winter Sesh….! Big things and talks in the pipeline, but I cannot mention any names at this moment  – Stay tuned @sobarsessions instagram for all details!!

Tell us three things you love about Brighton?  The People. The Seafront. Open Minds and Hearts.

New Projects? I am launching a new wellness coaching programme for anyone interested in living a sober life beyond their dreams. For anyone interested in discussing this, please contact me to book a 30 min intro call.
