The Devil Wears Prada Musical

The Devil Wears Prada

The Devil Wears Prada has gone down as one of the most quotable films of all time, (“Did someone eat an onion bagel?”) and now fans can experience the live stage production in London’s West End at the Dominion Theatre. So, grab those heels and join the rest of the ‘clackers’ this July.

Fashion, fierce ambition and unforgettable one-liners have officially arrived on the West End stage as The Devil Wears Prada musical brings one of the most iconic stories of the 21st century to a live audience in spectacular style.

Based on the bestselling novel by Lauren Weisberger and the much-loved 2006 film starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, the production transforms the sharp wit and high-pressure glamour of the fashion world into a dazzling theatrical experience.

Following aspiring journalist Andy Sachs as she lands a career-defining role working for the notoriously demanding Miranda Priestly (played by Vanessa Williams), the show captures the tension between personal ambition and staying true to yourself. It’s a story that still resonates deeply, particularly in an age where hustle culture and professional identity remain central to modern life.

What makes this adaptation stand out is its sheer sense of spectacle. The production leans heavily into the luxurious world of high fashion, with stunning costume design, slick choreography and all the visual extravagance audiences would hope for from a story so rooted in style and status. Every scene feels polished, fast-paced and unapologetically glamorous. Adding further star power is an original score by music legend Elton John, whose involvement helps elevate the show beyond simple nostalgia, bringing fresh energy and emotion to a story audiences already know and love.

But beneath the couture and comedy lies a surprisingly thoughtful exploration of power, identity and the sacrifices often demanded by success. It’s as much about personal growth as it is designer handbags and impossible deadlines.

Whether you’re a devoted theatre fan, a fashion enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates a sharp, entertaining night out in London, The Devil Wears Prada musical proves that some stories never go out of style. That’s all.
