The Labyrinth in Concert

The Labyrinth in Concert: Tue 14 April  |  The Brighton Centre

On Tuesday 14 April, the Brighton Centre will host Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: In Concert, a unique, immersive celebration of the beloved 1986 musical fantasy Labyrinth. Audience members will be captivated by the cult family film up on the big screen while the soundtrack is performed live.

Rather than a traditional stage musical or theatre production, Labyrinth: In Concert is a cinema-meets-concert experience. Audiences will be treated to the original Labyrinth film – directed by Jim Henson, and starring David Bowie as the iconic Goblin King and Jennifer Connelly as Sarah – on a large HD screen while a live band performs the entire soundtrack on stage in perfect sync with the film. Bowie’s original vocal tracks remain intact, but the instrumental parts are brought to life live, alongside Trevor Jones’s evocative score.

This format celebrates the movie’s 40th anniversary, a milestone that highlights the film’s enduring popularity and cult following four decades after its release. Fans of all ages will delight at the chance to revisit unforgettable songs such as ‘Magic Dance’, ‘Underground’ and ‘As the World Falls Down’ in a way that blends concert energy with cinematic nostalgia.

The Labyrinth: In Concert tour stretches across the UK in April 2026, with Brighton one of the key dates following the tour’s opening in Oxford the previous day. Other venues include Southend, Liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh and more, giving fans across the country access to this one-of-a-kind event.

At the Brighton Centre, The Labyrinth: In Concert promises an atmospheric evening, equally appealing to long-time admirers and newcomers alike, curious about the magic that has kept Labyrinth a beloved, enchanting story for generations. Perhaps it’s the Goblin King’s fetching tights that helped cement Labyrinth as a cult classic?
