Artist Anon Brighton Brings Homegrown Style to Churchill Square for Christmas

From Market Stall to Main Mall: Artist Anon Brighton Realises Dream with Christmas Pop-Up in Churchill Square

Homegrown clothing brand, born on the city’s festival and craft fair circuit, to bring its iconic designs and authentic local spirit to the heart of Brighton’s retail hub.

BRIGHTON, UK – – Artist Anon Brighton, the celebrated independent clothing brand, today announced it will open a pop-up shop in the prestigious Churchill Square shopping centre. The store will run throughout the peak festive retail season of November and December, offering shoppers a unique destination for locally designed Christmas gifts that champion Brighton’s unique culture.

The launch marks a significant milestone for Artist Anon Brighton, which began in 2012 as a passion project in a spare room and grew its following on a market stall at local festivals. The move from its iconic seafront arches workshop into Churchill Square, Brighton’s premier retail destination, represents the achievement of a foundational dream for the company. The pop-up will place the beloved local brand amongst over 80 high-street and international names, offering an authentic, creative alternative for shoppers seeking gifts with personality and a direct connection to the city.

This opening comes at a time of transformation for Churchill Square, following its recent acquisition by INGKA Centres. The presence of an independent Brighton brand like Artist Anon highlights a dynamic future for the centre, blending major international retailers with the vibrant local creative economy that defines the city.

Mars Miller, founder of Artist Anon Brighton, said: “To be opening in Churchill Square for Christmas is a ‘pinch-me’ moment. We started Artist Anon on a market stall with the simple idea that Brighton deserved its own voice in fashion, something that celebrated our unique culture instead of just promoting American brands. This was the dream right from the beginning—to take our homegrown brand from the seafront arches to the city’s retail heart. It’s an incredible honour, and we can’t wait to share our passion for Brighton with a whole new audience this festive season.”

The Artist Anon Brighton pop-up will showcase a full range of its signature products, including the iconic Brighton Skull T-shirts, sustainable bamboo sunglasses, and sustainable locally designed swimwear. The store will be located on the upper mall near JD Sports and Claires Accessories and will be open seven days a week, consistent with Churchill Square’s extended Christmas trading hours.
