Celebrate with ethical gifts & food that give back this winter and spread the happiness.

Trying to satisfy everyone during the holidays can feel like a minefield. The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership has been the hub for all thing’s food since 2003, so we’ve learned a thing or two about making food work for everyone.

We may not be able to stop arguments about who does the washing up, but we’ve got top picks for ethical gifting, celebrating and eating this winter, including cookery class experiences, delicious local produce and how to support local community projects.

As winter rolls in, some of us battle the blues and yearn for sunnier places. Giving the gift of new experiences can help with the January rut. Cookery classes with expert chefs in The Community Kitchen promise to satisfy wanderlust right here in Brighton. Buy a ticket to take their taste buds to colourful Goa, fiery Mexico, fragrant Morocco, spicy Korea and more. Or grab a gift voucher and let them pick the perfect cookery or baking class just for them.

For the person who genuinely doesn’t want for anything, giving a gift in their name is a lovely idea.

Donations of money, food and festive treats are essential for food banks and community projects at this time of year. Look out for donation points across the city and visit our website to learn how to join our winter appeal.

Fed up with the traditional turkey? You’re not alone. Many are choosing exciting alternatives, like a delicious beef Wellington. For a truly special centrepiece, make yours with beef from Sussex Grazed. They buy direct from farmers right here in Sussex, actively supporting landscape restoration.
