Discover Brighton Magazine to Sponsor BIMM Soundwaves stage at Great Escape Festival

Discover Brighton is taking centre stage at this year’s Great Escape Festival 2026 and it’s easily one of the most exciting highlights of the programme.

We’re proud to be sponsoring the BIMM Soundwaves stage, set right on the beach within the vibrant Soundwaves area at TGE Beach site. With the sea stretching out behind you and the sound of emerging talent, it’s a setting that perfectly captures the spirit of discovery the festival is known for.

Our stage comes alive across two key moments: Wed 13 May from 18:00 to 22:30, and Thu 14 May from 12:00 to 16:00. Expect a hand-picked line-up of rising artists from BIMM University, showcasing the next generation of talent ready to break through. It’s the kind of place where you might just stumble upon your new favourite act before anyone else does.

Beyond the beach, The Great Escape Festival 2026 once again transforms Brighton into a city-wide celebration of new music from 13–16 May. With over 450 emerging artists performing across more than 30 venues, it remains Europe’s leading festival for discovering fresh sounds.

From intimate gigs in iconic grassroots venues to larger-scale moments by the sea, the energy across the city is unmatched.

The Beach site, however, holds a special kind of magic. It’s where festivalgoers gather between shows, where the atmosphere feels a little freer, and where the connection between artist and audience is immediate and electric. The BIMM Soundwaves stage sits right at the heart of this: open, accessible and packed with potential.

For Discover Brighton, this sponsorship is about more than just a stage. It’s about championing creativity, supporting emerging voices, and celebrating the city’s ever-evolving music scene. It’s about being there at the very beginning of an artist’s journey and inviting you to be part of it too.

So, if you’re heading to the festival, make the beach your first stop. Because this is where the next wave of local talent is rolling in.
