Father’s Day Brighton 2026
Father’s Day falls on Sun 21 Jun this year, and Brighton & Hove has a pretty solid mix of options depending on whether your dad is the roast-and-pint type, competitive games fiend, or someone who’d rather spend the day doing something a bit different.
If you want a big event, the standout is the Father’s Day Family Fun Day at Brighton Racecourse. It runs from midday into the evening and mixes live racing with family entertainment including inflatables, giant games, football challenges and simulators, basically dad-friendly chaos with enough going on to keep everyone entertained. It’s one of the city’s main dedicated Father’s Day events this year and tends to book up quickly.

The Terrace at the American Express Stadium is hosting a Father’s Day Fun Day featuring a whole host of family-friendly activities including mini golf, cornhole, axe-throwing (child-friendly), skittles and plenty more options to keep everyone entertained. With DJ Mike Panteli on the decks to keep the vibes flowing and food kiosks open, there will be plenty of time for a boogie and delicious moments! Doors will be open from 11:00with a film screening of Big Daddy from 16:30.

If food is the safer route (often wise), Brighton and Hove’s brunch scene is your ally. For a polished Hove breakfast, try Oeuf Café or Jo & Co Restaurant. Or for a top-notch roast, visit The Avenue on Second Avenue in Hove. For central Brighton classics, Moksha Caffe and Lost in the Lanes are dependable choices if your dad’s love language is eggs and very strong coffee. If he’s more of a pub-lunch traditionalist, plenty of Brighton pubs are running Father’s Day offers, with places like The Setting Sun and Bohemia offering Sunday roast bookings.
If your dad prefers an activity over sitting still, Father’s Day also coincides with the London to Brighton Bike Ride, with the finish line atmosphere making Madeira Drive a lively place to soak up the event even if you’re just spectating.
