Former England rugby international Joe Marler is taking his podcast, Joe Marler Will See You Now, on a live theatre tour this November, bringing its mix of celebrity interviews, unusual challenges and unpredictable conversations to audiences across the UK.

Since retiring from rugby in 2024, Marler has established himself as a familiar face beyond the sporting world, with his appearance in the first series of The Celebrity Traitors introducing him to a wider audience. His distinctive humour, sharp observations and determination to uncover the truth have also helped shape the format of his podcast.

In Joe Marler Will See You Now, Marler invites a different celebrity into his fictional ‘practice’, where he attempts to get inside their mind through probing questions and unconventional games. He is joined by comedian and television presenter Jake Bhardwaj, who acts as both co-host and research assistant, keeping conversations on track while navigating Marler’s unpredictable approach.

The podcast has already produced a range of memorable moments, from Marler and Pete Wicks attempting to guess each other’s ages to an arm wrestle with strongman Eddie Hall. There have also been more personal conversations, including an unexpected discussion with Josh Widdicombe about tapering off antidepressants. More recently, Busted frontman Matt Willis discussed addiction and recovery, opening up about his 17 years of sobriety.

Since launching, the show has attracted millions of streams, building an audience around its combination of comedy, candid conversation and occasional moments of genuine connection.

The live tour will bring that format to the stage, with Marler and Bhardwaj joined each night by a different celebrity guest. Audiences can expect audience participation, unusual challenges and a behind-the-scenes look at the chaos involved in making the podcast, alongside the more revealing conversations that have become part of its appeal.

Marler says: “Playing Dr Marler every week has been a proper joy, and the reaction since launch has been amazing. I can’t wait to bring all the silliness and the more serious moments of the show into the real world.”

While Bhardwaj adds: “Taking the show on the road is going to be great. Anything can happen once we leave the studio, although one thing is guaranteed: Joe will still be wearing shorts.”
