New Launch: Queer I Am, The Podcast

31 Dec, 2023

Groundbreaking queer arts show is returning this winter for intimate conversations.

Discover chatted to Andrew Flewitt, podcast creator and author who set up Queer I Am because of his love of queer culture and the interesting people he meets on the Brighton LGBTQ+ scene and surrounding areas.

The podcast, Queer I Am which celebrates and amplifies voices of the queer community, has gone on to be nominated for an award and its creator is proud to announce a 4th season. Following a successful live season 3, which included eight live discussions, 30 guests, an audience Q&A, which was filmed for YouTube, the show returns for five festive and intimate conversations.

Andrew’s love and passion for the project has spurred him on to launch the new season earlier than expected. The show started on the 9th of December and will run for five weeks. Season four is available for download now where you can listen to the likes of drag royalty Miss Jason, and interviews with authors Matt Cain, Liszt Huxley and Morgan Nick Harris, who has just released their debut single, System.

If that wasn’t enough, there will also be a special one-off episode, where Andrew will be interviewed by podcaster, creator and business owner, Nicholas Cousin; this is an opportunity to get to know the host. Queer I Am, The Podcast, was launched in 2022; and has released three seasons to date. The show has been downloaded in 56 countries, and been nominated for an Independent Podcast Award.

Previous seasons feature activist and theatre maker; Nathaniel J. Hall westend performer, author, and philanthropist; Jill Nalder. Incredible drag performers including Kara Van Park, Billie Gold, Shallow Vera, and Ru Paul contestant Miz Cracker. Outstanding authors including SJ Watson, Douglas Stuart, Bethan Roberts, Harry Nicholas and Helen Trevorrow.

There are so many conversations for you to enjoy. The podcast is available to download on all major streaming platforms. You can also check out Andrew’s socials above for more information.
