@Theatre Royal 11-15/6

Published in 2003, the Kite Runner was the debut novel by Afghan-American author Khalid Hosseini. It appeared on the New York Times bestseller list for over two years and sold over seven million copies in the United States. It was made into a critically acclaimed film directed by Marc Forster in 2007 before making its stage debut at the San Jose Repertory Theatre in 2009. This theatrical tour de force, adapted by Mathew Spangler and directed by Giles Croft, is a haunting tale of friendship that spans cultures and continents. Afghanistan is a country on the verge of war and best friends are about to be torn apart as no one can foresee the terrible incident that will shatter their lives. Following one man’s journey to confront his past and find redemption, this internationally acclaimed incredibly powerful story is direct from Broadway and two seasons in the West End.
