NoFit State makes a long-awaited return to Brighton and will be performing at The Level in Brighton from August 8th until September 1st.

Discover are excited to announce the long awaited return of NoFit State, the UK’s leading large-scale contemporary circus, who will be appearing in an extension of Brighton Festival – ‘Festival Extra’ from August 8th until September 1st at The Level in Brighton. New show Sabotage promises to be a performance like no other.

The company was established in 1986 by five friends during a politically charged time in the recession. Almost 40 years later, NoFit State endures and their message is still relevant for the time.

Directed by Firenza Guidi, Sabotage is an energising and uplifting large scale circus spectacular brought to you by the same award-winning creative team that developed the acclaimed show, LEXICON which sold out its run at Brighton Festival in May 2018.

Expect another full-on, boisterous, and audaciously fierce performance, Sabotage is everything you would expect from NoFit State, featuring original live music, breath-taking circus, stunning imagery, and a theatrical feel.

Bringing a darker, grittier, and more subversive edge to NoFit State’s trademark contemporary circus spectacular,  the performers known as Saboteurs stand out. They stand up. They challenge the establishment. They are heard. In Sabotage performers share their experiences and rebel against the rules and prejudices of our society to create a space where injustices do not exist and anything is possible.

This is a grown-up circus that is not unsuitable for children.

‘The saboteurs are a community of outsiders with little respect for the figureheads of authority. They poke fun at the ‘heads of states’ and show them up as clowns.’ – Tom Rack, Artistic Director, NoFit State.

The show lasts for approximately two hours  (including a 20 minute interval) and is suitable for all ages. The event will take place at The Level in Brighton.
