Owen became interested in music at an early age, taking up guitar at nine years old and performing with his sister, who had taken up singing. Their Dad encouraged them to perform at open-mike events at local pubs throughout their teens. After his sister left for University, Owen took to performing solo and began appearing at live events at various pubs and clubs throughout the area surrounding Shropshire. Hayao Miyazaki's Dreams by Mystery Ensemble. The Miyazaki Dreams concert is an immersion in the fabulous atmosphere of the films of the world-famous Japanese director and Oscar winner Hayao Miyazaki. Mystery Ensemble has collected magical music from his anime and compositions inspired by his creations. The evening programme includes renowned works composed by ingenious Joe Hisaishi, including My Neighbour Totoro, the legendary movie Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Laputa: Castle in the Sky and others. The programme also includes works by other composers inspired by Miyazaki’s artworks.

The original material of Todd Day Wait, is highly influenced by early American folk, country and blues music from the 1920's through the 1960's, embodying the spirit and authenticity of traditional American music. Todd Day Wait, whomst you may have heard of from his millions of spins on GemsOnVHS orWesternAF writes and performs his own style of timeless country music. Harking back to JimmieRodgers, Willie Nelson, Wynn Stewart and Kris Kristofferson he keeps the spirit of country music alive. In 2009 he put all his earthly belongings on the curb and hit the road, in his diesel shuttle bus fueled by vegetable oil, for a never ending tour. We are delighted to showcase some pieces from artists local to Brighton, and further throughout the country whilst offering some support to our sister charity, the SEA LIFE Trust. Our historic Victorian arcade provides the perfect plaice to take in these beautiful pieces, and it's a fintastic opportunity to take home something truly eelegant. There will also be a bar running for the event to enjoy a glass of prosecco during your visit. Come on down to our Art Auction and enjoy some art with a tide of purpose! Our doors will be opening at 6pm to guests, and we will be closing bidding for the evening at 7:30 pm, with the event itself ending at 8pm. We are still accepting submissions for this event too! Born in Miami to a Spanish mother and Greek father, she spent the majority of her early life bouncing between multiple cultures and wanting to adapt. The common thread anywhere she landed was her love for music. Piano lessons as a child led to days on end of writing and recording from her makeshift bedroom-studio as a teen, which turned into years of collecting songs- all just to store them away. Though she took a detour career-wise, she continued to play where she could and could never escape the urge to spend every day honing her first true passion. She played keys in a few bands and dabbled in open mics but always ended up feeling best in a dark room, single-handedly curating dramatic and ethereal melodies. The Brighton International Animation Festival is set to take place for the fifth year running on Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April 2026. The festival is one of only 4 BAFTA qualifying animation festivals in the UK, putting Brighton on the map for animation! The festival is a fantastic celebration of contemporary animation, this year is expanding to Brighton’s iconic Brighton Dome venue. 2026 introduces new programme You’ve Got to Laugh and a VR Hub for the first time, allowing participants to experience animation in an interactive 360 setting. Other film programmes include New Generation the best of new grad talent and an annual LGBTQ+ programme, Brighton International Animation Festival being the only animation festival in the UK that encompasses queer themes. Kidical Mass Hove - The friends and family bicycle ride is back in Hove on Sunday 26 April 2026. This will be the sixth Kidical Mass ride in the city since the rides started in 2023. Kidical Mass celebrates the joy of getting around by bicycle, and calls for more safe connected cycle lanes. The Hove ride has four feeder rides: 2:00 pm – Hove Cemetery North (Old Shoreham Road) 2:00 pm – Stoneham Park 2:10 pm – Wish Park (east) 2:10 pm – Hove Park (south) These will all converge on the seafront at the Peace Statue, Hove. From there, at 2:30 pm, there will be one big circular ride through Hove. The ride will be marshalled, is free to join and open to everyone – children, families, friends and adults without children. An Evening with Kae Tempest. Kae Tempest is widely regarded as one of Britain’s greatest wordsmiths. In a career of ferocious creativity, he has received multiple prizes and critical recognition across the many forms he works in. Beginning as a lyricist and songwriter in his teens, Tempest threw himself fully into whichever discipline he could find work in; gigging as a poet, writing for the theatre or busking with his band. Asian Dub Foundation: La Haine - Live In this incredible show, the live soundtrack from the classic French thriller is brought to the stage, played live by the band while the film screens in the background. Steve Chandra Savale, Jamil Jammaz Ahmed and Brian Fairbairn are respectively guitar, bass and drums of legendary Asian Dub Foundation, a band that has always been politically and socially motivated. The film, now more prescient than ever, stars Vincent Cassel and portrays the tension in Paris’ banlieuea after the killing of a local man by French police. The rawness of the film has made it a real cult classic, and a strong match for Asian Dub Foundation’s message.

Abra thought her mum was normal until she started school and saw that no one else’s mum looked like hers. This show is a part of caravan assembly, a three-day event that presents contemporary performance made in England to an audience of international programmers and collaborators.
