Babble Hove

30 Mar, 2025

Babble is a brand new sun-up to sun-down hospitality venue located at the new Hove Beach Park.

The project was created by Brighton & Hove City Council to breathe new life into the underused and run-down facilities and green spaces on the seafront in West Hove, by creating a new park stretching from the King Alfred Leisure Centre to Hove Lagoon.

Part of this is Babble, brought to you by the team behind Bison Beer and Bar 42. It’s a design-led process starting with Bison’s original artist Dan Walters in collaboration with local talent Lois O’Hara.

But first, the venue has opened for takeaway coffee (and more) on the south side ground floor of the building, serving their own blend by local roasters ‘Back Yard’. Trading from 8am seven days a week, the cabin offers great coffee and healthy refreshments from Youjuice for those enjoying the new facilities.

There are also plans for a first floor café, bar and kitchen concept centred around beautiful sea views. Whatever the weather, everyone will be welcome to enjoy a variety of delicious food and locally sourced drinks.

This family friendly venue will serve everything from freshly shucked oysters, to pizza and burgers with daily changing seasonal specials. Expect high-quality meat, fish and vegetarian options.

Breakfast options are freshly baked pastries, full English breakfast, dippy eggs and soldiers, freshly squeezed juices and shakes. Lunch will consist of seaside classics such as Bison Beer battered fish and chips and steamed mussels.

There will be an outside BBQ in the summer months cooking up generous cuts of meat from Barfields butchers and grilled vegetables from Shrub.

Babble is an independent and locally owned laid-back space for those wanting to be good to themselves. It is a social hub to connect with friends and enjoy quality produce and locally sourced drinks in good company, right on the beach.
