Brighton Fringe / ENTASI DANCE COMPANY – HOST

29 Apr, 2025

In HOST, chaos becomes the canvas. This dynamic performance, driven by the untamed energy of youth, invites you to dive into the beautiful mess of our human experience. Through movement, black feathers, wine, paint, grapes and chocolate, HOST explores our consumption of chaos and the hidden, strange parts of ourselves we often fear to embrace. This piece isn’t about perfection. It’s about surrendering to the rawness of being. It’s about the freedom that comes with being unapologetically ourselves and discovering unity through relishing differences. The dancers create a narrative that rids us of societal expectations and celebrates the weirdness that makes us whole.

Through this explosion of sensory experience, HOST transforms the chaotic into the cathartic, finding beauty in the unravelling. HOST is a celebration of all that is human, a testament to the untamed beauty found within our own darkness. Join them in this journey, and let the chaos be the host of your truth.

About the artist

Entasi Dance Company is a forward-thinking collective of young, aspiring artists and performers who share a deep passion for contemporary dance. Entasi embraces a bold, sometimes unconventional approach to movement, aiming to push boundaries and explore new forms of expression. The collective believe in the power of movement to express what words cannot, and their work is rooted in cathartic, intense performances that invite both dancers and audiences to experience emotion in its rawest form. Entasi’s work focuses on delving into experiences, thoughts and ideas prevalent in our current society and often offering resolution through unity and collective effort.

They focus on building strong, versatile dancers by offering vocational training and performance opportunities, allowing young people to grow both as artists and individuals. At the heart of Entasi’s work is the belief in creating a space where young voices can be heard, and self-expression through movement is celebrated. Every member is encouraged to embrace their individuality, while also contributing to a collective energy that fuels their shared experience of movement as a company. Through unique training and performances, they aim to empower the next generation of dancers to explore and find their inner artist.
