Brighton Mod Weekender

21 Jul, 2024

Thursday 22nd Aug – Sunday 25th Aug

@Various Venues 22-25/8 12:00

From the headline grabbing battles on the beach to The Who’s landmark album, Quadrophenia, and the legendary film that followed, Brighton has always been synonymous with Mod culture. Since 2004, The New Untouchables have hosted the Brighton Mod Weekender, four days that highlight the very best of past and future talent within the Modernist and 60s culture movement. There are several club nights and live performances that take place at Komedia and Patterns whilst the daytime activities are hosted by the Volks. Thursday kicks off with live music from Billy Sullivan with Saturday hosting club nights Chills & Fever & Cookin’ Catfish. Over the weekend you can enjoy live music from The Jack Cades, Senior Class, Block 33, Small World and a special performance from one of the bands that spearheaded the mod revival in the late 70s, The Purple Hearts. The Sunday sees a scooter rideout and competition outside the Volks.
