Brisa Tapas & Bar

28 Nov, 2025

Christmas cheers

Tucked away in Bartholomew Square, Brisa Tapas & Bar brings a festive Spanish breeze to Brighton’s Christmas season and its 2025 celebrations prove it’s certainly no wallflower.

From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted by the super-friendly team and vibrant buzz of a tapas bar primed for celebration, think twinkling lights, the hum of conversation and the promise of many small plates shared with delicious cocktails and Sangria. (Note: the Cava Sangria is a triumph.)

The set Christmas Party menu is already live and inviting bookings. Think classics like pan con tomate (toasted sourdough with grated tomato) and patatas bravas to kick off the feasting in Spanish style. From there it’s all about bold flavour and shared joy: croquetas de jamón, gambas al ajillo, and the kind of tapas that inspire conversation, laughter and the clinking of glasses. With the promise of cocktails and curated wines to match the plates, Brisa is delivering more than food, it’s a whole experience.

The venue itself plays perfectly to the season. Inside you’ll find a lively bar and cosy tables, outside (weather permitting), a terrace that taps into Brighton’s winter sparkle and sociable spirit. For Christmas groups of friends, colleagues or family, Brisa has it all: set menus, festive ambiance and the kind of energy that balances sophistication with fun, with live entertainment at weekends.

What works especially well here is the balance, it feels elevated enough for an office Christmas party yet relaxed enough for friends to book without pressure. The sharing-plates format means you can really explore the menu together, and for those with dietary needs there are vegetarian taps that caught our eye (and as always, a heads-up ahead will help for allergies).

If you’re hunting for a stylish but lively spot to mark Christmas 2025 in Brighton, Brisa Tapas & Bar is very much worth your spot on the list. Good food, Spanish flair and a festive mood, tick, tick, tick!

Pro tip: Reserve early for a Friday or Saturday slot, ask for a table with easy access to the bar for drinks refills, and don’t forget to leave room for churros or tarta de Santiago for dessert.
