Christmas magic at Jules Emporium

28 Nov, 2025

Nestled on Brighton’s vibrant New Road in the theatre district, Jules Emporium has established itself as the go-to destination for quirky, unique, handmade items that will delight your loved ones. We caught up with the owner to find out what’s happening this month.

Owner Jules is full of excitement as she shares what’s in store: “We’re doing late-night shopping every Friday in December, staying open until 8pm. On Friday 5 December, we’ll also be hosting our Christmas Party (open to all) – there’ll be drinks, nibbles, and the chance to meet many of the 50+ local artists and makers whose work we showcase. It’s such a lovely way to celebrate the season, connect with the people behind the art and enjoy a relaxed festive evening.”

The Emporium is renowned for its warm, creative atmosphere and its dedication to supporting local talent. Visitors can expect a treasure trove of handmade, one-of-a-kind gifts, from artist-made decorations and cards to handcrafted jewellery, artist prints and homeware. “We don’t like the term ‘gift shop’ because it sounds generic,” says Jules, “but we are a brilliant place for gifts. Everything here is unique, handmade and full of heart, and we make sure there’s something to suit every budget. We have plenty of beautiful items under £10, like our locally made soya wax candles with essential oils that smell AMAZING for just £7.50. We think everyone deserves something special, not just those who have bigger budgets.”

Alongside championing local makers, Jules Emporium also supports global creativity through its partnership with Indian Futures, a charity empowering women in South India. The collection of handmade fabric bags, purses and totes (all under £10) make for thoughtful, ethical gifts that give back.

“The fabrics are gorgeous,” Jules explains. “It’s lovely to have something that looks beautiful, supports a great cause and is still affordable.”

Whether you’re looking for stocking fillers, ethical presents or simply a dose of Christmas cheer, Jules Emporium is the perfect festive destination for eclectic and unique gifts for your loved ones – and yourself of course.
